Thousands of inquiries are made to the Chamber every year about goods, services, shopping, dining and tourism. The Chamber always refers Chamber members. Industry specific lists are distributed by the Chamber upon request, such as lodging, dining, realtors, meeting facilities, and others.  This information is also available on this Chamber website either in the Business Directory or on industry specific pages.

Promoting Tourism

The Chamber is a major promoter of tourism to the area.  Marketing and advertisements placed by the Chamber attract visitors to stay at local lodging establishments, participate in water recreation and dine in local restaurants. Additionally, Canyon Lake & the Guadalupe River Visitor Guides and brochures are distributed in the thousands to TX Dot Travel Centers throughout the state as well as to hundred of Visitors Bureaus across the state. The Canyon Lake Area Chamber of Commerce attends Travel and Leisure Shows to promote tourism and participates in the Texas Travel Industry Association and the Texas Historical Commission Texas Heritage Trails Program.

Business Directory Listings

As a business member, you are automatically listed in the online business directory, both alphabetically and by business category. If your business has its own homepage, your listing will be linked to your homepage. A printed business directory is distributed annually. Additional advertising opportunities are available to highlight your business both in the online directory and in the printed directory.  

Business After-Hours Mixers

Chamber members have a unique opportunity to highlight their business by hosting a Business After-Hours Mixer. Held monthly, this is a great networking tool for our members, with the mixers bringing together hundreds of business people in an informal environment. It's the ideal way for Chamber members to make new business contacts. Guidelines to host a Business After-Hours Mixer are available at the Chamber. 

Brochures Displayed

Members are provided space within the Chamber Office and Visitor’s Center to display their brochures and business cards.  Space is also available for the display of special events flyers.

Mailing Labels/Lists of Chamber Membership

The Chamber membership list is an excellent business contact tool. Mailing labels or lists are available to all members at no cost via email. Printed mailing labels or lists are available for a nominal fee.

Ribbon Cuttings for Grand Openings

Upon request, new members may receive a ribbon cutting hosted by our Canyon Lake Friendly Ambassadors. Photographs of your event are published in two local newspapers, are highlighted on the Chamber website’s ribbon cuttings page, and are included in the Chamber newsletter “The Chamber Current” to provide exposure for your business. Similar events are available for Anniversary Celebrations.

Business Community News    

The Chamber prides itself on being a source of news for business in the community. Stay current on upcoming events and community announcements with weekly email blasts or the monthly newsletter, “The Chamber Current”. Information regarding the Chamber, Chamber members and the area are regularly submitted to two local newspapers. 

Business Trade Show

The annual Business Trade Show, sponsored by the Chamber, offers your business an outstanding opportunity to make new business contacts and show off your goods or services to hundreds of potential customers.

Internet Advertising

Many opportunities exist for advertising your business within the Chamber website. Business descriptions to enhance keyword searching and banner ads are available to enhance your directory listing, and sponsor ads are available throughout the other pages of the website. Marketing & Sponsorship Opportunities

The Chamber provides a variety of different avenues for marketing your business. Advertising is available on the Chamber website and in the monthly newsletter.  Sponsorship opportunities exist at several different levels for many different Chamber events to include the Annual Awards Banquet, the Winter Texan Reception, the Annual Barbecue Cook-Off, the Membership Development Drive, and the Hill Country Business Trade Show.  

Chamber Publications

The Chamber produces and distributes 30,000 Visitor Guides annually to travel centers and visitors bureaus across the state. Thousands of guides are distributed to tourists and locals from the Chamber’s own Visitor Center, are placed in area lodging facilities for visitors, and are distributed at Travel & Leisure shows to entice visitors to the area.  

Business Awards/Recognition Programs

Annually the Chamber members honor excellence in business and in the community at their annual awards banquet. Additionally, new members and renewing members are recognized in the monthly newsletter as well as on the Chamber pages of a local monthly magazine, “Canyon Lake Views”.

New Resident Leads

When deciding to relocate to a new city or town many movers get much of the information they need through the Chamber. As a member, you have free access to all the relocation information the Chamber provides to individuals who are considering moving to the area.
